PeriAnesthesia Care Nurses of Arkansas

Wanda Rodriguez, ASPAN speaker at the PACNA Fall Conference.  ASPAN provided "Perianesthesia Pathophysiology and Assessment:  A System's Approach".

PACNA (PeriAnesthesia Care Nurse of Arkansas) is a local level component of ASPAN (American Society of PeriAnesthesia Nurses).

We provide an monthly meeting to relax, eat and learn a little something within scope of the perioperative area.  Since the group is composed of nurses throughout the state of Arkansas, you are able to network and meet new people while enjoying a night out.

Every fall, PACNA has a fall conference.  Last year ASPAN presented a review for the CPAN/CAPA.  These are the two certifications that most of the nurses in PACNA benefit from the most.  This fall, ASPAN will present a pathophysiology review geared towards the Perioperative nurse.

We are also in the process of offering scholarships to active members to help meet your educational needs.

Please feel free to come to any meeting if you are interested in more information.  If unable or if you have more pressing questions, feel free to contact us.
